23rd Jan – Liverpool 1 – 2 Wolves (FA Premier Academy League) – Liverpool Under-18s again lost but striker Michael Ngoo did contribute some nice touches during the match. In the first half he created an opening for himself only for Aaron McCarey to save superbly from his subsequent shot. In the second half, Ngoo headed down to Dalla Valle who couldn’t finish from a tight angle with his shot saved by McCarey. The Reds had chances to win the game but Andre Landell scored with ten minutes to hold on to a 2-1 win.
