Rumours abound that have recieved offers from several wealthy businessmen around the world. It appears that one prospective new owner may be a wealthy Arabian figure.

bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is the current President of the United Arab Emirates and Emir (Ruler/ Leader) of Abu Dhabi. He is one of the wealthiest Arab businessmen in the World. He is wealthier than his half-brother, bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who is the owner of FC.

Sheikh Khalifa, as he is known, is said to be the third wealthiest royal with his net-worth around $19 billion, he also has major interest in Abu Dhabi and UAE developments.

If he was interested in taking over Liverpool, his wealth could mean the Reds would have more financial power than both Manchester City and ’s .Is this the right man to take over from the ill-fated reign of Hicks and Gillett? He sounds like the answer to Liverpool’s fan’s prayers.

Yes he sure is, but hope its true and not just a rumour we,ve had too many rumours over these past few years since the Yanks bought and broke our sacred club

  • J Says:

Well it’s just rumour but if he had long term ambitions for the club then yes. It’s clear that Liverpool need initial investment but after that Liverpool can easily run off of its own revenue. We just need a new world class stadia with increased capacity to kick it all off and a few top quality additions to the squad.

He is going to own liverpool,i travel to the arab states alot and can confirm he is on the verge of taking over liverpool,he is the right man will put alot of money in for players and build the new stadium,he will be unveiled at anfield in the second week of july,he has earmarked the man he wants to take charge and it isnt hodgson, deschamps or rickjard, the man he wants he has just managed a national team in africa and wont be unveiled till the world cup is over, let me tell you he is a big fan of south american football, that is a clue.Liverpool will attract some of the most talented players in the world both with the owner and the managers contacts.i dont support liverpool but from my knowledge very soon they will be untouchable.

It would be wonderful to get an owner with this kind of wealth but many Liverpool fans ask only that they get an owner who can put us back on level footing, our income with a new stadium should be enough to challenge. The interest we are paying on these american jokers loan is crippling us and if we could just re-invest that into the squad year on year we could again become a force.
The media will suggest that the LFC supporters want an imediate turnaround but I know that the fans I talk to can be patient, as long as we are seeing things go in the right direction

The more noise and action the fans of liverpool make, like what there main group the s.o.s do then the americans will eventually be forced to sell quick, the rally which they are planning at st.georges hall will be noticed as it has to be policed and that alone will cause headlines within the regions papers.I fully understand the fans wanting the two americans out,you only have to visit fans forums on the american clubs they own, there fans are alike liverpool people they want them out to,make enough noise and an easy option for it to go away is to go away.good luck.

Brixxon,If you want your club to move onwards and upwards then there is no better man,he will only purchase the club to flex his pecks in europe,he wont buy liverpool to make money as a buisness,he will play with them like the chelsea owner, english football teams will only stay at the top if owned by very wealthy men, take your neighbours everton, owner is loyal, wont break the bank on wages, transfer funds etc but i guarantee they will never win the league or the euro cup.your club is desperate for a stadium to be able to make the money that it should be making, your club is followed much more in the east than man utd is.dont tar all big money men with the same brush as the americans, this family blow roman out of the water, before you know it very big players will be in liverpool fc and you will have moved on and be very happy.the moores family dipped out because he knew he couldnt help anymore, liverpool cant afford to fall behind anymore so dont turn your nose up at the man who could turn your frown upside down.

One thing i will say from the research of debt in sport i have been doing,i recently watched a show on the man utd owners and the way he can drain money out of the club, exactly the same can and is happening at liverpool. If the club has to be reduced in price to be able to attract a buyer then the likes of mascherano and torres would be sold and the loss of value of the club compared to the financial gain the americans would make is of no comparison, sorry thing is although the likes of purslow doesnt own the club or manage the team,it will bw him who makes the big decisions and wont really take any grief either.Clever men those americans, ride off on there stallions and leave the fans with the asses.

We’ve had far too many false dawns since stadler and waldorf bought the club. Sorry let me rephrase that since stadler and waldorf borrowed and left the club with massive debts and then promised liverpool fans the sun moon and stars and how they would do everything the liverpool way and have a spade in the ground within 60 days and to leave the spending to them and for us fans not to worry that there would be no limits put on spending to strenghten the team. Net spend for the muppets tenure is £44m. Net spend for David Moores last 3 years in charge was £66m. It’s come to the stage where we are being outbid for players by Crystal Palace and Portsmouth. Here’s to whoever takes over, and may they do a better job than stadler and co. YNWA

  • RealHolidayReports.Com Says:

I’ve been given some insight regarding the future employment of key personnel at Liverpool Football club and why the situation appears to be in a state of flux, despite a clear direction actually having been resolved a few weeks ago. Please absorb the following and use your brains to digest the following, calculate its merits and don’t let any existing passionate bias for OR against Liverpool dictate your reaction – instead just think about it with a clear head

    1. 8 members of the background team staff have been released to work elsewhere and replacements have been interviewed with offers pending.

    2. A radical change in policy for youth team structure and development is being resolved currently with an exchange system being negotiated with a specific overseas country (haven’t been told which one).

    3. The ownership of the club has been resolved in terms of an offer that HAS been accepted on behalf of the existing shareholders, the deal has yet to be formally concluded in terms of exchange of money for stock – so no announcement will be publicly made until the deal is officially sealed and maximum positive publicity can be achieved.

    4. Tom Hicks had been trying to influence the buyer to work with him in future projects in the buyer’s native homeland and surrounding countries – totally unrelated field to that of football but he has been trying to use Liverpool as a bargaining chip to get himself into the alternative commercial environment in an alternative niche.

    5. Tom Hicks holds no existing interest in building the new stadium for LFC – any suggestion otherwise is purely speculative. The original design is to be redrawn by the new bidder and a resubmission to the Council will be made by March 2011. No additional onsite work will become effective until then.

    6. The manager identified by the new owner is one that some of the KEY 1st team personnel already know – non–disclosure clauses have been distributed to all personnel that know his identity and they all have been contacted to explain the sensitivity of the situation and will not be drawn on commenting in the press, to family members or members of the public!

    7. The manager elect has carefully deflected attention from his position and it will NOT be Kenny Dalglish or Roy Hodgson. The debate is a convenient public distraction being played out to divert attention from the identity of the soon to be new owner and his chosen number one.

    8. The club is gearing up for an announcement in July and not before and will not do so until the World Cup is concluded. It is imperative to both the commercial value of the announcement and in particular the selected manager – that the team he is currently involved with is not distracted by press questions or club business. Success in the World Cup under this manager will greatly increase the attraction of new players to LFC and significantly increase the commercial revenue stream. Carefully engineered distractions are already in place to handle identities of both buyer and manager until mid July.

    9. At least 16 first team members are certain to be leaving. All player sales NET income generated will be made available to the new team along with an initial cash injection (advance allocation of commercial revenue) to build a squad now for the next 4–5 years under the new manager.

    10. The 1st team will be permanently reduced from their present numbers to allow an increase in wage levels for the main squad, allowing a competitive level of salary for high gross revenue earning players to be maintained at a sustainable level. This will assist in attracting foreign players to the UK , despite the higher tax band and wages offered elsewhere, without dramatically increasing the outgoings of the club.

It has to be stressed that all of the negotiations to purchase the club and the appointment of the target manager has been done through representatives of all parties and you will NOT have seen or will see LFC board members at a hotel/bank/airport/stadia etc with identifiable individuals!! It is too sensitive a time; the process has not been and will continue NOT to be played out in any public areas.

Please note that only the select few within the club know the intimate details of the owners elect and the manager elect – this does NOT include ground staff, reserve team, youth team players or most of the first team. They have NOT been informed of any of the developments other than all will be announced mid July.

    So.. to summarise:
Significant non–player staff changes – Yes
    New owners agreed – Yes
New Owners installed – Less than 40 days away.
    New Manager Identified – Yes
New Manager installed – Only after the World Cup – actively engaged
    Cash for transfers – Yes
Amount for transfers – I don’t know – no point in guessing!!
Sustainable Business Model Identified – Yes
Stadium plans – To be revised and resubmitted to council next year.
Players informed – Select few only!
Media informed – OBVIOUSLY NOT UNTIL MID JULY!

I can only tell you all that although the Sheik is a fan of South American football, he is not a fan of cheats, so while there will be no approach for Lucio, Steven Gerrard will be moved on, although it does not preclude Maradona as it was Allah himself that handled the ball.

Guys – interesting reading, im intrigued by this 15th July date but think its just a false rumour.

Sum1(post 27) made a great point to sum up LFC

“football needs liverpool, we are globally loved”

You can not buy history, true fans follow teams through thick and thin. We are in that period at the moment and the quicker we get sold the better for football we will be – we are a wounded animal at present but when we recover then people will take notice. I really do hope this rumours are true but I am a realistist and dont think its true – as a few people have said – too many false damwns.

Having followed LFC for 30 years and seen the rise and fall its all down to a number of factors – 1. Moores selling the soul to the cowboys 2. Rafa not doing things the dignified liverpool way and instead the Jeremy Kyle way 3. Same squad as 08/09 simply not performed in 09/10.

I know i maybe pointing fingures here but that is not the intention. I really want to turn back the clock to the 70s and 80s but we simply can not live off the past we need to look t the future and make step the foudations for more successful history.

    This doesnt add up.

Why would we be on the verge of appointing Hodgson as manager? If this is a ruse then we will know in the next few days…
Why would Hicks not have leaked this to the press to try and bump up the price and create a bidding war?
Why has none of the press got hold of this information through the process of due dillegence etc like when DIC and the Yanks came in for us 3 years ago?
Why does someone (no disrespect to the poster) on an internet chat room know all of this yet nobody else in the world of football does?

I really hope I’m wrong and I’m not try to discredit to the people who have gone out of their way to post this info but I just cant see them being able to keep something of this magnitude quiet when nearly every other takeover in football and in the commercial world tends to get leaked beforehand.

Thats passion jonny rich,we all want whats best for our club,i am pretty sure next season cannot be as bad as this one surely not, just got to move on hope for the best, just gets me that if the club isnt sold and we have the personnel within the club i.e kenny, sammy etc surely it would make sense not to spend out on a new managers buy out clauses so that would signal to me that the new owners if its true have earmarked hodgson should he get the job as there wanted man. something doesnt add up.

any rumour involving arabs has been around for about 5 years. these guys use Liverpool fc as a marketing tool to drum up business and drive their shares up.

We are stuck with the Yanks unless someone gullable comes forward with the asking price, believed to be around £800million.

  • mick the red Says:

What igor says could very well come true, from my view so could them selling up and a new owner being unveiled but the yanks could stay on until the proposed internet footy comes in where the owners are set to make a fortune so it really could go anyway who knows but the americans and co.I suppose just because we love the club does that give us the right to know what they are doing with there buisness,i am not sure how much they have to make public if any,i know its rubbish but i suppose if they dont want us to know then thats there choice, but i to am scouring the net desperate for any info.

Doesnt anyone else agree with me when i say why would the yanks take their money and buy hodgson out of his contract when kenny is there and wouldnt need anything other than moving into the managers position.Could anyone explain the benefit of the move, especially if they are looking to sell. Surely someone who is liverpool fc like kenny would be the cheap ideal man, steadies the ship and it looks a better club to buy?

Just been informed by a friend, hodgson was at melwood yesterday and the sale of the club will enable us to buy just as heavily as city, still will wait and see the truth. Just been on sky mark hughes turns a multi mill deal to manage a foreign team down so maybe he is after the fulham job. There usually a domino effect so again suppose we will just have to wait and see. Mate also said carra and gerrard are very happy with hodgson who will get them back to basics and common sense team selection. All will be revealed in time i guess, when its true it will be made public and we dont have to guess.

Who thinks Hodgson can attract big names at the club?
    Not me.
I’m not even sure if he can persuade Gerrad, Torres and Mascherano to stay.

On the up side, he can bring Bobby Zamora and maybe win us the Europa League in the next 3 to 4 years.
    Fingers crossed!

Maybe roy wouldnt have been my 1st choice either but this may just be the bizarre managerial decision that gets us our title back,i hear fans calling for a english manager for england maybe its time we had a manager who knows the prem and will play players in position, give his all to the f.a cup and aims to get us back in the champs league.gives the young players like pacheco, kelly, derby, nemeth, plessis a chance, wont please everyone i know but may just be the mad choice that helps us get back to the good old days.

  • m kop Says:

Redknapp and O’Neill if you want someone who knowes Premier League.

The fact that Redknapp is not an option says something about the clubs situation.
O’Neill maybe would take Liverpool job, I dont like him neither but far better option than Hodgson, and more expensive most likely.
But is this the time to be saving money on manager?

Hodgson has apparently alredy signed a 3m contract as LFC manager. So RealHolidayReports.com you have an active imagination, but for the most part the majority of us arent that gullible.
Oh guess what kids, i have it on good intel that Bill Gates is going to buy liverpool. Yeah, and he is going to turn Anfield in the biggest Stadium in the world. It will sit 500000 people and every seat will have its own lcd screen. He is going to bring back all the former greats of football like pele, platini, maradonna, zico bechenbauer into the team and we are guarenteed a premierhip..
sod off you wayne ker. We feel bad enough without peolpe like you raising false hope. Sit on a mine and just die already…

no disrespect to the new manager, but why would sky publish that we were after another coach if he was the one trusted with the job? I think we were shown that we wanted a better coach but settled for 3rd best… My view is that we still have alot of tears to lose.

am made up with roy,get rid of the deadwood, get in players who are good enough but come on a budget,we just have to live with the fact financially we cant compete with citys spurs etc anymore. At the end of the day 11 players the same as the opposition, play em in the right position, dont leave the subs till 65 mins every single game, dont persist with average players nearly every game, dont sell your best players, dont get rubbish players in only to move em on in 12 months.whether hodgson is or isnt the best manager in the world cheer the guy on and see what he can do,money is the main factor in people taking jobs not love for the club.Post 90 must be gullable or you wouldnt be so wound up,the rafa era has gone move on with woy and see where it takes us.sum 1 post 93 not spot on and not such a great post.

It’s sad that we have to create this kind of rumours to please ourselves and keep us hoping. We are in Dreamland my friend. Same goes for Tom Greedy Hicks. His evaluation will never interest anyone. As long as Tomcat does not make enough money to kiss goodbye to us, he wont let us go. And those Sheikhs are not dumbo. They wont succumb to Tomcat’s greediness.

On a potential takeover of the club – with Tom Hicks and George Gillett looking to sell up – Broughton added: ‘Information has gone out to a number of people who have expressed an interest.

‘There haven’t been any offers to turn down but we wouldn’t expect any offers at this stage. There is no specific deadline but hopefully a deal can get done before the end of the transfer season.

‘But these things can take quite a bit of time. We’re on course pretty well to be where we expected to be at this stage.’
