Reds chasing Ghanaian youngster

|

According to skysports.com, Liverpool are chasing Ghanaian starlet Daniel Opare. He is apparently one of the most promising players coming out of Africa and has been at Real Madrid since 2007. He was hoping to break through into Madrid’s first team last season but his progress was hampered by injuries. Opare is described as a versatile full back who can also play in midfield and would be available on loan next season as the Ghanaian attempts to prove his fitness and talent. His representative Chris Nathaniel said:

“Daniel is fully fit again now and is ready to play next season. Of course his injury means he will not be considered for Real’s first-team but he hopes a spell on loan somewhere could help him come to the attention of Jose Mourinho. With that in mind, Daniel is now considering his options carefully as he has a number of options and he is already looking forward to pre-season training – wherever that may be.”

Liverpool are not the only team interested in the youngster however, as West Ham, Lyon, Wolfsburg, PSV Eindhoven, Club Brugge and Buraspor are all also reportedly in the running for his signature.
