Real Madrid legend Raul’s agent Gines Carvajal has revealed that prior to signing for Schalke 04, he received an offer from Liverpool to take the 33 year old to Anfield:
“Three days ago we had an offer from Liverpool.”
According to his agent though, Raul opted to go to Schalke so he could play Champions League football next season.

I for one respect Raul, hes a fotballing legend and deserves respect for what hes achieved in his career, however i am glad we didn’t sign him, he is past his best and lacks pace and he would be another Morientes/Voronin for us. YNWA
