“I heard that Liverpool and Everton were keen”

|

Kevin-Prince Boateng’s agent Mario Miele has told lalaziosiamonoi.it that talks with Genoa have reached deadlock, and that numerous clubs, including Liverpool, have shown an interest in the player:

“We are always in contact with Genoa and it was they who informed us of the interest from Lazio, as we have never spoken to them directly. Until a few days ago there was constant dialogue and everything seemed to be coming towards a conclusion, although Portsmouth were still asking for more. But since then everything has reached deadlock. I don’t think everything is over, because no-one has told me that, so I suppose the interest is still there. We will have to wait and see what happens now over the coming days. The market is slow right now, even if there are a lot of clubs interested in the player. A few days ago I heard that Liverpool and Everton were keen, and also Besiktas. Today I have read that Stoke are interested, but I know nothing about that.”

Despite being born in Germany, Boateng played for Ghana at this year’s World Cup, facing his brother Jerome in the group match against Germany.

Liverpool’s interest must be a joke?

I don’t think Liverpools interest is that strong, and besides hes wanting first team football thats why he left Spurs, and i can’t see him getting much at LFC, Everton would be a decent option as moyes will give him a good chance and beleif, especcially when Sahas never 100%, Yakubu looks like hes out the door Anichebe has never delivered that leaves only Beckford as the main striker
