Moratti fails to rule out move for Kuyt

|

Liverpool midfielder Dirk Kuyt is rumoured to be a transfer target of Inter Milan, and president Massimo Moratti has not ruled out a move for the player when asked about the Dutchman in an interview with Sky Italia. Moratti said:

“We shouldn’t necessarily be always looking for star players, but functional ones. We’ll start with what we have, the group of players that have done well. There is a different coach, maybe slightly different from last year, but first and foremost he wants to keep the good players. Then we will start thinking about the team’s true needs.”

Kuyt played in every match during the World Cup for Holland, and scored the second goal in the opening game against Denmark.

Inter seem to like talking about Liverpool players without actually bidding any money for them.

They can have Mascherano in a cash deal for £26m. We don’t want rubbish like Muntari as part of the deal. Why would Liverpool want an Inter cast off?

  • Dennis says:

The club should sell Kuyt for £10-£12M and Bring we should sell Mascherano for No Less than £35M as he has two years left on his contract and he is the best holding midfielder in the world on his day.

The only swap deal Hodgson and the club should consider from Inter would be Cambiasso and £25M for Mascherano.

No other players should be taken seriously in a swap deal, then if we got Cambiasso and £25M.

Hodgson should bring back gladiator M Sissoko from Juventus for £10-£12M

Bring in E Banega Of Valencia For £8-£10M

And if Kuyt was sold for £10- £12M, add an extra 4M on top and make a £16M bid for G Agbonglahor Of A Villa as he could be a huge player for club in future and national side.

would certainly let dirk go and replace him with turan!
reports today state that bungling benny is offering £12.5m + muntari for JM, so, by rafa’s own valuation of masch, that means he rates sully muntari at £37.5m!!!!!!the only swap i would contemplate with that man is this…………..we will give you one ungrateful, disloyal little argie bollocks and you can give us 30 of inter’s millions! how does that grab ya raf? surely a steal by your reckoning! PUT UP OR SHUT UP!!!!

take whatever we can get for him – his value is only going to drop from here on in

  • Greg says:

Gareth Barry with 2 years left on his contract was valued by Villa at 18million. Barry with 1 year left on his contract was valued at 12 million. As Jay says, Mascherano’s valuation is only going to drop. He’s already worth less than when Barcelona enquired about him last year. If he’s going, we need to sell him now.
