Rumour Mill: Liverpool in the running for Roma’s “Beast”?

|

Il Romanista in Italy is reporting that Premier League trio Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City are preparing bids for Roma’s out of favour forward Julio Baptista. The Brazilian is not part of coach Claudio Ranieri’s plans for next season and is seems almost certain that he will leave the Rome club. Baptista had a spell on loan from Real Madrid at Arsenal a few years ago, and it is believed that Roy Hodgson wants the player at Anfield. According to the paper, Tottenham are the favourites for Baptista’s signature considering they have Champions League football next season, but there has also been interest from some Greek clubs, particularly Olympiakos. “The Beast,” as he is known from his time in Spain, could be available for £6million.

I’m not sure about him. He’s always been a player that always seens to come up a little short. Whenever he has a bad run as a striker, suddenly he’s a midfielder and vice versa. Saying that for 6mil, it would’nt be a bad purchise.

    Liverpool doesn’t need the beast.
If it was four years ago I’d say get him but not now.
There are plenty younger promising players why waste time and money!?

Fighting greak clubs to get him, embaresing.
