According to the Daily Mail, Spanish clubs and are interested in midfielder . The 19 year old has been tipped to become a great player by the coaching staff but the former Barcelona trainee could be on his way back to Spain, with a loan deal the most likely course for the player.  Fellow Spaniard Daniel Ayala also looks set to return to Spain in a loan move to Spanish second division side while another youngster has been signed by . Ellison told the Brewers’ official website:

“This is a good opportunity for me. I think at this age now I need to be getting some first-team experience under my belt. I just want to show people what I can do and hopefully get recognised. It was very difficult decision to leave the club I have supported since I was a boy but I realise now that it is the best decision I could have made.”

If this turns out to be true, it is the mail so I’m skeptical, then what the hell is going on? Hodgson needs to look at the lad and give him a chance. I mean giving Riera another chance but blowing Dani off is ridiculous beyond belief.

these stories regarding the sale of our talented youngsters are worrying me more than the stories doom-mongering over sales of our entire squad and the like.

Isn’t Hodgson aware that you don’t have to be British to qualify as a homegrown player???
Wasn’t Kenny & some of the coaching staff kept around specifically to make Hodgson aware of who the more talented prospects are???
Are we going to be going through another five year period of signing ‘wonder-kids’ that see their careers stalled in our reserves???
    :(

I feel the same about this story as I did about yesterdays Ayala story….Furious! At what point do we give a young player a chance? I’ve been one of the few fans that liked Roy’s appointment but if either one of these stories is true then I’ll quickly start to question that faith I had.

Pacheco and Ayala, are alongside Kelly the 3 youngsters who we could throw into the 1st team with a degree of confidence.

I am amazed Liverpool would consider getting rid of the 2 spaniards, because after this season they will still be under 21 and have 3 years with us, and are therefore classed as homegrown.
If we loan them out, they will not have 3 years, and will not be classed as homegrown.

Think to the season after next Roy, not just next season when Dani and Dani are classed as foreigners!

If this is the case i think Hodgson may have the wrong idea young talent is going to strengthen Liverpool in the long run not buying old hacks.
