Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has stated he doesn’t know if he’ll be sold before the end of the transfer window:
“What is the situation? I don’t know. I’m still playing. At the moment, I haven’t had any offers. I don’t know if the club wants to sell me. I just have to wait. I’m going away with the national team (on Thursday) and I can’t say any more than that. We don’t have any games so we will be training for a week in Barcelona. If the club want to sell me, what can I do? I just have to wait and see what will happen. But I want to be playing. I am trying to do my best here. If the club have some offers for me, they will let me know. At the moment I have no idea. I need to be playing and I want to be playing but I believe that I am doing well. The manager will choose who plays. I have a contract here and if I don’t get anything good for me or for the club, then I will stay.”
Lucas’s future has been called into question after the arrival of both Christian Poulsen and Raul Meireles. There has been increasing speculation, both in the Liverpool Echo and the Daily Mail, that the Brazilian will be subject to a bid from Stoke before the end of the day.

I think if we are looking to get some extra cash then I would prefer we sell Lucas and not Babel as we have more players in the Lucas position! Lucas however has improved quite a bit! Babel could be used a striker and he is better than Carlton!
You can leave Leiva but goodluck.
I would prefer to buy Wolf for the remaining cash from Macherano sales. And, if lucas and babel go, then buy another striker (toivalen) and a midfield as backup.

can we pay the transfer fee to see him leave LFC? it could create a huge fan morale infusion…well worth what we would spend. he could also be replaced by a stone sitting at midfield (sitting just a bit too deep to impact offensive pace).
he has a big heart unlike babel but he is just a squad player, why rafa never took insua on loan is a mystery he picked enough times for us ? no lucas bid either ? or aqualani he could have had him cheap ? are they not good enough for inter milan
lucas won a lot of fans over with his fighting spirit including me, i think he has looked a bit down lately (over can he stay) and it has affected him
Lucas out, keep Babel Roys thick if he lets Babel go, and wheres Diarra either Lassana or Mahamadou, Meireles is class but not a replacement for Mascherano hes more attatcking not holding. Its going to be a case of hes replaced ALonso finally but now we’ll suffer coz we havn’t replaced Mascherano, Poulsen is crap he can’t tackle like Mascherano or like any decent defensive midfielder……YNWA
Stah Howard fact of the matter Inter have better players in those positions and don’t need them. Our team right now looks like we’ll be fighting for a europa place, just look at the way we played against West Brom absolute rubbish, and is Konchesky going to change things i doubt very much, i think Raul Meireles is a good signing so Roy deserves credit but at this minute id be suprised if Roy gets another season with us if the takeover takes place, and even more suprised if we get in the top 4.
