Inter turn their sights away from Masch to Ledesma

Tuttosport in Italy are reporting that Inter Milan have finally turned their attentions away from Liverpool’s Javier Mascherano and have set their sights on Lazio midfielder Christian Ledesma. Rafa Benitez is said to have been interested in the player even during his time at Liverpool and Inter are said to be preparing a bid of €6m plus the co-ownership of youngsters Joel Chikwuma Obi or Obiora Nwankwo. Ledesma has only got one year left on his contract and Lazio are prepared to let him go after signing his replacement Hernanes. The player was left out of the side for six months last season after a dispute over a new contract and it looks as if Benitez is looking to bring in the 27 year old to the club as a cheaper option to Mascherano.
