Rumour Mill: Reds considering move for Italian striker?

|

Another rumour from CaughtOffside.com is that Liverpool are interested in signing £14m rated Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini. The Italian forward has been linked with the Reds a few times this summer, but with Sampdoria now out of the Champions League, he may consider a move to the Premier League, according to the website. Roy Hodgson has stated that he is in the market for another striker and as he has set a deadline of Sunday for Javier Mascherano to complete a transfer, he could use the money from the sale to fund a move for the 26 year old. The former Fiorentina player earned a spot in Italy’s World Cup squad in the summer after scoring 19 goals in Serie A last season, and he could be seen as a good foil for Fernando Torres, according to the site.

Caughtoffisde are conatantly making up stories about signings, they must’ve linked the Reds with over 90 players since the summer started and not one has been true.

this guy pazzini’s a decent striker, watched him before and also recently when sampdoria played against werder bremen. but, having said that, im not quite sure if he’ll adapt to the premier league as we’ve seen how poorly the serie a players have done in the prem: dossena, aquilani, shevchenko…to name a few

I do not see this player coming actually i am wondering when all the positions that need filling are going to happen at all.
I think regardless of sales we will be lucky to get more than 2 more players.
