Rumour Mill: Chelsea leading Reds in CSKA star chase?

|

According to Tribalfootball, Chelsea will have the first chance to sign any CSKA Moscow players in January. The website believes that the CSKA management are only willing to let one of either Alan Dzagoev or Keizuke Honda leave in the window. Dzagoev is interesting Chelsea while Honda is apparently on Liverpool’s radar but due to CSKA’s close relationship with Chelsea and their owner Roman Abramovich, the Russian club will give the Blues the opportunity to sign Dzagoev before Liverpool are allowed to buy Honda. It remains to be seen whether Carlo Ancelotti is interested in the £20m rated attacking midfielder Dzagoev, but if he isn’t, it would leave the coast clear for Liverpool to attempt to land Honda, if of course there is any money available by then.
