Babel: It is always the same story

|

When asked about his future at the club, Liverpool forward Ryan Babel refused to discuss the matter. He told Sky Sports News:

“It is always the same story, this is your chance, this is your chance. I don’t see it like that any more, it is just another game and I do it for myself. My situation is clear for everyone so I don’t need to talk about it, I have said enough things in the past so I don’t want to talk about it.”

Babel started the 0-0 draw against Napoli last night, and had a chance to win the match.

Some players are more hungry when they’re left out of the first team and when they get a chance they want to prove themselves. With Ryan its about confidence and beleif which Rafa and Roy could show by giving him consecutive games, hes still young and has pace and can suprise people, players like Maxi, Lucas and Poulsen havn’t impressed so why not give the guy a chance and give Agger a chance in centre defence for that matter.

Roys just really p1551ng me off, he needs to be shown the door……YNWA

Going on 2 seasons now, i have seen Skrtel go from bad to worse.

He is so shaky in defence, his positioning is poor, always out of the frame when a goal is scored, meaning he is wandered off his guard, and when he is in the frame, hes just a calamity.

If only Agger were fit, he should partner Carra in Central defence.

We need another fit centre back!

He is fast, has great shot, and if given enough time and space can produce a good bit of skill…. Sadly the Premier League is neither slow or open (not these days anyway 4-5-1 is the becoming the formation of choice and flooding the midfiled is the only way the less affluent clubs in the league can compete. He also has an atrocious first touch, rarely picks out the right pass and has little to no awareness of what it is going on around him…

At lower levels the positives in his game got him noticed but at the top level he sadly lacks the fundamentals that make a consistent top quality footballer. I refuse to believe that giving a number consecutive games will make a shred of difference he has been with the club for years, it’s time to stop flogging a dead horse. if can’t learn these basics over the course of two years giving him three games in a row is harldy going to make any difference. In fact I think he has failed to learn anything or at least demonstrate some evidence that he is learning, he has the ability he was born with but cannot supplement it with the required footballing brain. Flashes of brilliance that are few and far in between.

babel has to go while we can still get some sort of fee for him.
for roy not to know that liverpool fans would never stand for torres going to utd shows once again how he has no idea of what we are about.

roy give babel more chances you and former boss benitez have given that useless player lucas god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i hate this guy even his name lucas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Paul says:

Babel looks lost at CF, he should be running up and down the wing. Liverpool’s current formation does not suit him. He would shine in an attacking team.
