Another less than encouraging week being a Liverpool fan. The drab 2-2 draw at home against Sunderland last week, followed by an equally lacklustre performance against FC Utrecht on Thursday, has left me and other Reds fans wondering when we will see an improvement in Liverpool’s displays. We welcome TWO new writers this week in Rohan Kallicharan (make sure to check his excellent article at the top of the list) and Mark Roberts (ensure to check out his great post “Roy is not Rafa. Fact). Also thanks again to David Tyrer, Mark Wilson, Kark Thyer, Brian Durand, Niall Sherry and Kevin Messam for writing for the site this week. I myself have been focusing on some of the areas in the team that need to improve if we are to get out of our current difficulties (check out my blog on our defensive frailties). Have fun reading!
It’s Not Rocket Science Roy!
Rohan Kallicharan questions whether Roy Hodgson actually knows his best eleven.
Why we can’t afford for this defensive trend to continue
I look at the issue of Liverpool’s defensive frailties over the past two years.
Why all the doom and gloom Reds fans?
Karl Thyer feels that Liverpool fans need to be a bit more positve about the Reds’ start to the season.
Roy is not Rafa. Fact!
Mark Roberts feels the hostility towards Roy Hodgson maybe down to some fans wanting Rafa Benitez to return.
Here’s hoping the Europa League can be a positive thing
Mark Wilson hopes that the European competition can help our domestic form this season.
Reflecting on the Mayhem in the September Sunshine
Brian Durand reflects on Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland last weekend.
Are we really expecting too much from your team Roy?
Niall Sherry believes Roy Hodgson should expect more from the players at his disposal.
THREE players that need to take a long look at themselves
David Tyrer asks whether these three important players are pulling their weight this campaign.
