True enough Rafa, but your record was mixed at best

|

Rafa Benitez took a quirky, albeit, humorous swipe at his successor at Liverpool, Roy Hodgson. Last week Hodgson bemoaned the number of “expensive failures” at the club. But speaking ahead of Inter’s match with Spurs, Benitez said: “He’s talking about things that he doesn’t know.” Rafa said that Hodgson; “Wouldn’t see a Priest on top of a mountain of sugar”! The former Reds boss was speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of his new team Inter Milan’s visit to White Hart Lane tomorrow. Rafa defended his spending in his 6 years at Anfield:

“I had a net spend of £10 million with 13 international players in the team and the team is worth £300 million”

True enough Rafa, but your transfer purchases were, at best, a mixture of good and bad. Still, keep up the funny comments, they bring a smile to our faces!

Bore off, Hodgson isn’t fit to wipe the cheese of Rafa’s bell end

I agree 100% with Rafa. Stop moaning Roy and stop blaming Rafa for our poor start to the season. It’s ridiculous to say you inherited a poor squad from Rafa, right now you have 14 internationals in the squad. With this squad we should be challenging at the top not languishing in 13th place. You loaned out a 20m signing in Aquilani, as if we have a lot of creative midfielders. You know nothing about the squad and which positions the players play, you buy average mid-table players. In other words Roy, this job is just too big for you. Please do the good thing and resign.

So just like EVERY OTHER MANAGER then? Ferguson or Wenger never made any expensive mistakes did they?

  • stan howard says:

roy should ask himself why was it that when the kop shouted daglish’s name kenny never went public to say give roy time, roy is too frightened of losing the job that it is hindering him, every time he opens his mouth (without fail) its not what the fans want to hear. success now is what we want, and why not !! torres, gerrard, maxi, kuyt, agger, soto, reina, carragher, johnson, kelly, mireles, skytl, cole – another striker which he never bought just like rafa before him, unforgivable of both of them more so rafa.

Give hodgson some time, instead of saying to sack him. Sacking him will only make us more unstable. Were improving now, we have to build on it.

I totally agree with Gary, instead of moaning about hodgson we should really look to get behind him. We’ve got 2 victories now and we’ve got to support the manager and the team to help us to improve and get higher up the table, where we belong
