Liverpool co-owner John W. Henry has spoken of his admiration for Arsenal’s business model. Speaking to the Guardian he said:
“I admire Arsenal very much. To me, the word profitable means sustainable – able to sustain a business that has a high degree of excellence. Again I would refer to Arsenal.”
It looks as if his admiration for the Gunners is being translated to the playing side also with the appointment of Damien Comolli as Director of Football Strategy, who was Arsenal’s scout for young European talent between 1996 and 2003.
