According to the Daily Mirror, Stoke manager Tony Pulis will tempt Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson with a £4million for Reds midfielder Lucas in the January transfer window. The paper believes Stoke will be reigniting their interest in Lucas when the window reopens after going close to clinching a deal for the player on transfer deadline day back in August. Pulis is keen to strengthen his options in central midfield, according to the Mirror, and although the Brazilian has started Liverpool’s last six matches, Pulis is hoping that he can snap up Lucas with Roy Hodgson looking to raise more transfer funds to reshape his squad in January.

Hi Mike, can you justify your reply as to why you want Lucas to leave?
4 million for Lucas is nothing but a joke. Pulis must be out of his mind. Rafa signed him for 6 million 3 seasons ago and he’s developed into a useful all round midfield player. He’s having a good run in the side and he forms a good 3 man midfield with Meireles and Gerrard. He’s a good player and deserves to be in the starting XI right now, I’d have him instead of Poulsen any day of the week but I wouldn’t be surprised if Hodgson decides to cash in on him as he seems to prefer players like Poulsen. But anyway, I don’t think this report is true anyway since it’s from the Daily Mirror who reports nothing but tripe.
I would prefer him than meireles let alone poulsen at the moment he has stepped up his game since mascherano left

lucas is playing good now..But the fact is liverpool fans hv lowered their standards and are thinking like the fans of 5th or 6th place team.Think the likes of chelsea aresenal united??will lucas get in thier team ?if the answer is no and then why the hell we should keep him in liverpool too.we need players who can get into anyteam and i mean worldclass players everywhere so that we can be dominant like chelsea arsenal or united..replace lucas with lassana diarra,get the cash from aqua and bid for cranjar and defour a striker ibrahim affley, arda turan ands this will turn us to title contendors rather than a 4th place finish

cranjar is not a replacement for lucas but lasanna diarra is..diarra will come under top 10 defensive midfielders in the world rit now..kranjar is a very good squad player and a way better playmaker than lucas..If lucas was hell of a good player why the hell we are recieving only 4 million for a 23 year old with four years of contract left..wake up guys
