Reina: “It’s David Beckham, not me!”

|

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has refused to take credit/blame for the current craze of Premier League footballers wearing snoods. Reina had begun wearing his last season. Speaking to Liverpoolfc.tv, Reina said:

“I’m not looking for credit. It’s David Beckham, not me! Sometimes it’s so cold, so just to keep yourself warmer it’s good to wear.”

Reina is expected to return in goal against Fulham tomorrow after allowing reserve Brad Jones some game time against FC Utrecht in mid week.

This week it is former Liverpool player Danny Murphy’s wife Joanna Taylor!

  • hey there! says:

Nice to see that one of Ferguson’s favorite recruits actually was the one who started this whole trend, when the halfway demented Ferguson just said that real men/United-players (in his opinion) doesn’t wear that stuff. 🙂

Another fail from the drunken sailor there..

The Arsenal players were the first ones to wear it now most of the foreign legion are wearing it. I don’t think they should be stopped from wearing it like ‘Fergus’ has made his players from doing, if its not interfering with their performances let them wear it.

I just wonder how they get away with wearing it tho cant you get strangled or choked if accidently caught by a player, like necklaces are banned during a game, or maybe like Reina likes to wear them what if hes making a save and it comes over his face and impaires his vision during the save. Anyway i wear snoods myself keeps me warm and looks good……YNWA
