Rumour Mill: Henry ‘talks to’ Lerner over signing?

The Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool will bid for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young. The paper reports that Liverpool owner John W Henry had a conversation with Villa counterpart Randy Lerner over the possibility of signing the winger in this month’s transfer window. Villa have been adamant that the player is not for sale and are rumoured to be trying to secure him on a long term contract, but Henry and Liverpool want to sign the 25 year old to mitigate the loss of Fernando Torres who is expected to join Chelsea today.
