This outcast would make a huge difference to the team

|

Liverpool are reported to have made a firm enquiry about Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor. The striker is out of favour at the club with Balotelli and Tevez ahead of him in the side. Also, the impending arrival of Edin Dzeko in the window will make it impossible for the the former Arsenal player to get his place back in the City team.

To make matters worse for the player, he was involved in a training ground bust-up with team-mate Kolo Toure yesterday afternoon, so an early exit is now inevitable for the Togo International. Whether Liverpool make a cash offer for the player, he cost City £25 million, or they opt to try to take him on loan remains to be seen.

With a player of this quality, we should definately be trying to bring him to Anfield, as he would be an instant success upfront alongside Fernando Torres. The only stumbling block is the future of Roy Hodgson, my gut feeling is that he will be given a bit more time by FSG to improve Liverpool’s results on the pitch.

Lets get Adebayor, he would make a huge difference to our team.

It would be big risk if we decide to buy him permanently from City. The guy doesn’t get on too well with teammates and has been involved in quite a few bust-ups at Arsenal and City. No doubt the guy’s quality and would be a fantastic addition to the team and would also lessen the goalscoring burden off Torres but it’d be a risk if we decide to get him. I would prefer to bring him in on loan until the end of the season.

    dont want to see this;

1 money grabbing player in a red shirt

2 do not want to see this over rated player who swapped his life at arsenal for the disgracful club that are man city

3 will not support this player if he comes here, the way he celebrated in front of the arsenal fans when he scored form city.

4 hate this player who talked rubbish while working for the bbc durring the last world cup

5 will not want him here on loan taking more money from us, the greedy, very over rated player who is so over rated its a joke..

6 can someone tell me why so many fake fans, who have no clus really love this guy, who cant run, cant defend, can work hard, falls over, his goals to games record is just poor to say the least??

    no thanks

Wow Samuel you sound like an arsenal fan with that response.

    • sean says:

Samuel, why on earth are we (City) disgraceful? We have spent money I admit but we are not the first to do so. We have rich owners I admit but didn’t Inter Milan, Juventus, Lazio, Chelsea et al? and as for Real Madrid well… To call us ‘disgraceful’ is a little strong.

You are right about Adebayor though-you do not want him within a mile of Anfield. You need players who will work to get you out of the problems you find yourself in-and work is one thing he will not so (unless you are playing Arsenal).

    • steve mcauley says:

i’m with sean here, i’m a life-long red but can’t see city as disgraceful, we have a glorious history (fast becoming ancient history), why are you having a pop at city for trying to create one of their own? let’s face it, all us reds really wanted the arabs to come back in for us just so we could out-spend man-ure! fair play to the REAL manchester club!
      oh but NO to adebayor

  • Robbo says:

Wow… i reckon Samuel Charles isn’t a great fan then – of either Ade or City?!

The player is class, but he just doesn’t produce for long enough. I feel a little sorry for him as although he can look lazy i think it is more his running style.

I would say he would be a bit of a risk for you to spend money on (although he will score goals), but i am not sure he will do enough for the team that you look like you need.

A loan would suit you for sure but i don’t think we will go for it as you are still a big competitor for us.

Don’t bite my head off but i think it is creating chances that has been your problem rather than putting them away? Of course, i that is only from what i have seen on your live games and highlights.

  • JJ says:

I don’t like his attitude but he would be well worth a punt if he is playing and fully fit your’e guarenteed 20 goals a season and he is the type of player that could help Nando thrive

  • Mr Objective says:

    @samuel charles

You sir, are a babbling idiot. You give Liverpool fans a bad name.

An idiot should keep quiet, rather than opening his mouth to confirm his idiocy.

You seem to know very little about the player, but you want us all to know how much you hate him. Now scuttle back under your rock.

  • bl007 says:

Bring him to Anfield. We need players that can have immediate impact, and we are light in the striking department.

  • jonesey says:

    • steve mcauley says:

  • jezer says:

yr all chattin crap need goals hes proven infact think about it we need attitude on the pitch something we aint had for some time GET HIM ROY nesv get this gezer and would at least agreeon loan. agureo muller mertersacker

  • Voland says:

Bad attitude, not a Liverpool kind-of-player. Arsene let him go for a reason – the same reason for Liverpool not making the mistake of bringing him to Anfield.

  • daboy says:

Adebayor is not a team player and just not what the club needs.
The managerial situation calls for a manager that can attract overseas talent i like Rijkaard Pellegrini or Van Gaal.
