With three, potentially four forwards clearing out their lockers and leaving Anfield before the end of the month, it seems as though Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish needs to invest in a striker, and pretty quickly.
Nathan Eccleston, a player who has been used in several Liverpool games this season, has already been sent out on loan to Charlton Athletic. Following him temporarily out of the Anfield doors is David Amoo, who has joined MK Dons on loan.
Dutch international Ryan Babel has seemingly tied up the loose ends and will join German side TSG Hoffenheim in the next few days. In addition to this, there are reports today that Steve McClaren is looking to add Milan Jovanovic to his Wolfsburg squad, for a price of £6 million.
If Serbian international Jovanovic does leave Liverpool before the end of the transfer window, then it will leave the Reds with a strikeforce of just Fernando Torres, David N’gog and Spanish youngster Dani Pacheco with the option of using Dirk Kuyt up top if needed. Only untested Danish youngster Nikola Saric offers any other forward threat within the ranks of both the first-team and the reserve squad.
The sickening thought of a long-term injury to star striker and injury-prone Fernando Torres would leave us with a severely depleted choice of forward players. Therefore, it’s time to splash the cash on a goalscoring striker.

totally agree with fidel, buy now, this guy is worth the chance for 20 m, leave any other buys til the summer, but work on them now, i’d move for wolfswinkel, and we need some pace too
