With all the furore surrounding the signings of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez yesterday, Liverpool’s loan capture of Coventry City starlet Conor Thomas went completely unnoticed. The Reds have signed the England U17 international on loan until the end of the season, in view to a permanent move. The midfielder has come through the youth ranks of the Sky Blues and is highly regarded at the Ricoh Arena. He has only had two first team appearances, including one against Birmingham in the FA Cup last Saturday but Liverpool’s scouts have been keeping an eye on the 17 year old and the club made a move for him yesterday.
