Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes the Reds can do real damage when Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez, Raul Meireles and Steven Gerrard are all on the same pitch together:

“They are four fantastic players. Obviously Andy is going to be a few weeks until he’s fit, but we never bought him for a few weeks – we bought him for five and a half years. A few weeks out of that isn’t going to do us any harm. I think those four are really good footballers and will compliment each other pretty well.”

Stoke boss Tony Pulis also had some words about new signing Suarez:

“I watched him in the World Cup and in games for Ajax and he’s a wonderful player – but give him a bit of time.”
