Kenny: His time here “has been frustrating for everybody”

|

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has commented on Joe Cole’s lack of fitness and form. He told Liverpoolfc.tv:

“He’s had a couple of injuries. Obviously he got off to a bad start when he got sent off in the first game. He lost a bit of the momentum he gained. He’s picked up a few injuries after training very well here and then just tweaked his knee a bit. He’ll be a bit frustrated but so are we because it’s nice to see Joe on the pitch. But given a wee bit of luck, he shouldn’t be too far away. I’d have thought if we get Joe Cole fit and available, he’ll be a good asset for us. It’s been frustrating for everybody, but mainly for Joe I think.”

The Reds come up against Wigan on Saturday afternoon and Dalglish is also hopeful that Steven Gerrard could be fit for the match too:

“It’s only Thursday so we will find out as we get nearer to the weekend. Obviously we hope he will be (fit). He’s having treatment.”

We all need to start getting behind Joe Cole and start singing his name ( even if he isn’t playing)! We know how great he is and we know how great he could be for us , I feel it has been a big move for the lad and hasnt gone to plan due to the failure of Roy Hodgson. If we all started singing his name and had a flag put up in the kop for him then I’m sure once he hear’s his name being sang and sees a flag with his face on it , then that will give him the drive and desire to get back into the first team and help make him feel at home. He hasn’t failed at Anfield , he just hasn’t made it YET !

I don’t get what makes him so special?? Just because he is English? He hasn’t even done anything for us yet!
