The subject of my top ten article this week is around young Liverpool players who were much hyped by the fans, press or the manager but somehow failed to live up to expectations. Sometimes it was down injuries, other times it was due to the hope of a young local lad succeeding at the top level, but for some reason or another, these Reds hopefuls failed to deliver when expected. On a few occasions, some of these young stars came in for big money from abroad but despite the protestations of their manager, never really hit the heights expected of them. With our current crop of youngsters, let’s hope there are few less of these in the future.

How could you possibly include Krisztian Nemeth. The guy was never given a proper chance in the first team and was treated unfairly. He was sold by the inept Roy Hodgson who didn’t even include him in pre-season. He was rated highly by Rafa and he said he was part of his first team plans but when Roy was appointed he was sold immediately.
d pacheco has never got a chance in liverpool
and never will!
why didnĀ“t he play against fx. prague?
ayala + wilson + eccleston + ince + mavinga + amoo

I think we have the best youth set up in uk right now and have a crop of top yuong footballers, lets hope they get a chance. I think Kenny will give the cream of the crop their chance, when the time is right, we ,they just have to be patient.
