The Daily Star have reported that Nigerian youngster Rabiu Ibrahim has rejected a move to Liverpool in a favour of a switch to Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. The Reds have been tracking the player since he impressed for Nigeria in the 2007 Under 17 World Cup and Liverpool Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli had received promising reports about the 20 year old’s progress. Ibrahim was available on a free transfer after rejecting a professional contract offer from his club Sporting Lisbon and will now be joining PSV. The paper states that the player felt he would get more first team opportunities in Holland.

Liverpool are only pretending to have a youth policy that brings through a continous flow of players to the first eleven.

  • am a lfc fan and i now believe that our club are only making joke of themselfs, what are they going to do with[RABIU IBRAHIM]for some month now they can’t steady with the very midfielder they want, first they go for CHARLIE ADAM which could have been a solution to our midfield problem and not only adam they have been mentioning almost all players in different clubs with not sure of bringing them to ANFIELD so pls theyh should forget about the young lad to continue carrier somewhere else.
