Liverpool and Tottenham have both been linked with Roma’s Montenegro international Mirko Vucinic. According to the Daily Mirror, Harry Redknapp enquired about the 27 year old back in January when he also bid for Sergio Aguero, Diego Forlan and Giuseppe Rossi but he may have competition from Liverpool and Napoli this summer. Vucinic’s agent Alessandro Lucci has stated recently that although he is content to stay at Roma, he may be interested in move away from the Rome club, stating that Napoli could be an interesting destination:
“Vucinic is always linked with Napoli. His contract at Roma is until 2013, and he feels fine there and with the club; but nothing is impossible in football, and Napoli is fascinating for him. They are a team going places and they know they can reach important objectives. Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Vucinic would form a devastating trio – they would be the best in Europe – but at the moment, no one knows what will happen with Roma in terms of players being sold.”
Vucinic has scored nine goals in 17 starts so far this season.

Not good enough to move the club forwards and doesn’t answer our major questions of a lack of power, pace or flair. Hopefully spurs do waste a lot of money on him or fabiano – i wouldn’t fear either of them playing for our opposition and much prefer they get one of these than a potentially superior player of less renown…
