La Stampa is reporting that Liverpool, Manchester City and AC Milan were represented at the match between Standard Liege and Lokeren to watch Belgian international Axel Witsel. The 22 year old has already declared that he will be leaving the Belgian club at the end of the season, and it has sparked interest from some of Europe’s top clubs. According to the newspaper, Manchester City coach Attilio Lombardo was at the match, along with scouts from Liverpool and AC Milan. Central Midfielder Witsel is apparently rated at £12million by his club.
