“I know a lot of the lads are delighted by the appointment.”

Liverpool youngster Conor Coady has stated he is delighted by the appointment of Rodolfo Borrell as Reserve team coach. He told Liverpoolfc.tv:

“I’m made up for him and I know a lot of the lads are delighted by the appointment. He’s a brilliant manager and a top coach. His conduct around the players is first class and hopefully I’ll be playing under him again next season as part of the second-string’s squad.”

Borrell himself has also been speaking to Liverpoolfc.tv today. He talked about the joy of working under Kenny Dalglish:

“Kenny is a legend. I’ve said many times that when I arrived here I was amazed at how welcome he made me feel. He is still the same now that he is first-team manager. This is another thing that is special about him. Quite often a person will change and become more distant when they take on a bigger job – but not Kenny. He is still the same and I cannot thank him enough for the positive influence he has had on me since I moved here. We now have a situation where the first-team manager of the club knows all of the names of the players and staff from the U8s right up to the likes of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez. That is quite unique in modern day football and it means the world to all of us. I think Liverpool will benefit greatly from this in the future.”

This week it is former LFC WAG Amii Grove!
