AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that the club is considering making moves for Roma defender Philippe Mexes and Marseille left back Taye Taiwo. Both have been reported to be Liverpool targets in recent weeks:
“I have not heard a great deal about our plans in the transfer market next season and certainly not for the midfield. We have only discussed Mexes and Taiwo. The Nigerian is an interesting player and he could help us. There is nothing official at this stage but they would be important players for us.”
Both players are available on Bosman free transfers this summer after their contracts expire.
