Another three points against Newcastle last week and the Reds now find themselves in poll position to finish 5th and to play Europa League football next season. Although Liverpool didn’t necessarily play at their best versus the Magpies last week, Kenny Dalglish’s team seems to have a bit of steel about it, and with confidence riding high, a home win looked inevitable. The Reds also revealed their financial results for 2009/10 this week and although we made a £20m loss, there are certainly brighter times ahead under FSG.
