Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard believes he can still play at the highest level until he is 35, if he stays fit:

“I’d like to finish my career with a few more trophies. I always look at the 35 marker. If I get there and I’m still involved with Liverpool I’ll be delighted but at the moment I’m feeling as good as ever. I’ve had time to get my body right, get my body strong.”

Gerrard only played 22 matches last season but he now believes his problems with his groin are now well behind him:

“I’m still four or five weeks away from playing a game but I believe I’ll come back in better physical condition than I’ve ever been.”

This week it is former LFC WAG Pamela Camassa!

Steve, I believe you will play for Liverpool until the ripe young age of 37 years. Good luck with the new season.
