Luis Suarez was absolutely delighted when Kenny Dalglish was made permanent manager. He told LFC Weekly:
“Not just myself but also the whole squad were really happy when he signed the contract to become our permanent manager. He is a very experienced manager, but not only is he an experienced manager, he knows the club and he knows the quality and the type of player the club needs to achieve success. He’s worked inside the club, knows how it works and I think that will help the club in the future as well.”
Suarez also said he doesn’t feel the pressure of wearing the no 7 jersey:
“As for comparisons with the number seven, I just think it’s down to luck really. When I got the number seven I was happy because I knew it was a historic number that various top players had worn throughout the club’s history. But the number I’ve got on the back of my shirt is the last thing on my mind when I go out to play. I just go out to try and do my best and it certainly doesn’t add any weight of expectation more than any other number would do for me.”
