For every player the end of their career means the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Whilst some might want to get away from football many still want to remain in the game as a manager.
Making the transition from playing to managing can be tough especially with the pressure now associated with football. As a player your only care was performing to a crowd every Saturday moving into the dugout brings a whole new level of responsibility.
Since the Premier League’s inception in 1992 there have been only a few former players who have retired and gone on to carve out a career in management.
