An interesting additional piece of information coming out about ’s loan move to is that may now have first option on . The BBC’s Phil McNulty said on his twitter page:

“Cole signs Lille deal. Late interest from Villa doesn’t sway him. Interesting talk #LFC now have first option on Hazard.”

It would be an interesting development if this was in fact true.

    first option clauses only carry value if they specify a prefixed price and a means of compensating the option holder if the player is eventually sold to another club…otherwise not worth the paper they are written on as can easily be circumvented by selling club and alternative buying club…seems more likely that the arrangement between Lille and LFC is a goodwill based, gentlemen’s agreement which may help smooth negotiations if LFC not fighting the likes of Barca or RM for his signature…
