Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has denied that any bids for full back Jose Enrique have been made:

“Enrique is still here and will play on Saturday [against Fiorentina]. I don’t see an issue that he won’t start. I know there’s interest in Jose, but no concrete interest. We are poised to react to that [when it arrives].”

Some papers had reported that Liverpool had agreed a fee for the Spaniard.

This week it is former Miss World and LFC fan Rosanna Davison!!

In regards to Liverpool FC the media are majority of the time wrong. Always jumping to conclusions making rubbish up, just because its not in the LFC way to discuss transfers in the press we keep it in house. But the press feel like they have to write something about the club so they make rubbish up.

I suspect it might be simply the fact that Newcastle want an early offer so that they can prolong a wrangle over price. It would be better to leave the offer until near a last minute on this one ( if indeed there really is serious interest from LFC that is) and get the deal over and done with.
