AC Milan are still interested in Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport. The paper reports that the Milan club see the Italian international as the prime candidate to replace Andrea Pirlo, who has left for Juventus. Milan scouts were impressed by the player in his performance for Italy in the the side’s 2-1 victory over Spain, but the club are only interested in a cut price deal. According to the paper, the Rossoneri will only go up to £5million.

Keep him – He is a class player and deserves his chance. £5M takes the piss, he worth a load more than that, so would be a truly shocking piece of business if we let him go at that price

  • Joe says:

£5mil is a joke, this guy is class.

I say keep him, and get him ahead of Henderson in the pecking order, the kid looked lost against Sunderland this weekend, and his link-up play with Suarez could be quality.

Keep him!!! No way we should let him go to Milan for such fee!!! He’s worth more than three times as much!!! Liverpool need him as we donot have a player like him…I agree Joe, his link up play with Suarez could be amazing.

Juventus blew it, so did Fiorentina. They could have had him for 10M. And now AC Milan offers 5? The difference in a year for Liverpool is astounding. We don’t HAVE to sell anyone we don’t want to. We’re not happy carrying his salary when he won’t play without significant injuries, but we’re not going to be ripped off either. We can wait until January when those clubs will be desperate to add to their squads for the home stretch. Screw you AC! 5M? Bite me, and us, collectively! How insulting.
