Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has said he would be interested in Joe Cole if he is willing to take a pay cut:

“Would he have to put football ahead of wages? Oh yeah. But I like Joe. I wouldn’t say to you that I wouldn’t sign him, because I’d be lying. I’d love the chance to work with him again, because I think he’s a talent and a great lad. He’s a smashing boy who gives everything every time he plays. I just think if I could get him at it again and get him playing he could still do it. I signed him when he was 11 at West Ham. I watched him grow up. He was the best young footballer I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen anyone who could come anywhere near him. Could I get him back to where he was? I think so, yeah.”

Cole is believed to be on £90,000 per week at Anfield.

Well mr redknapp – he isn’t your player so behave yourself & show some respect to both LFC and to the player and talk only about your own players.
All you’re serving to do is create media speculation, trouble for his club and maybe even turn the player’s head.
While a player is owned by a club other clubs and their managers should NOT discuss them in public.

The FA/prem league chiefs need to stop this happening & start fining when it happens.
    It doesn’t help anyone

Well, I say step up to the plate and get the man then ‘Arry!
And, pay him what he is worth. Not a loan but buy him outright!!!

Harry if you really like him so much then buy him! Then you can talk all you like. We only care what the King has to say 🙂

If the FA were to fine managers every time they spoke about another club’s player in this, Rednapp would end up personally bankrupt. It’s amazing how he constantly gets away with it.

REDKNAPP: HE WILL HAVE TO PUT FOOTBALL AHEAD OF WAGES

It means Liverpool is keeping Joe. If he wanted to put football ahead of money he would have stayed at Chelsea.
Let’s accept the fact that Chelsea had CL and chances to win something but were unwiling to pay his huge wages.

Only Liverpool was willing to do that.
