Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore believes Craig Bellamy should be a regular for the Reds this season. He wrote in his column for The People:

“Bellamy has reached a point in his career where he wants to make the most of the time he has left in the game and enjoy his football. He won’t play every week but he will get games now under a manager he has huge respect for. Bellamy will happily work his socks off for Kenny Dalglish. And as a result of him being at Anfield, I think Andy Carroll is going to spend much of this campaign as an observer. There’s no doubt Carroll will become a top player, but there is no panic. Liverpool can afford to wait for him to peak in two or three years. It’s different with Bellamy. He can go straight into that line-up, link up perfectly with Luis Suarez, and add the X Factor to Dalglish’s side.”

The Reds face Everton in the Merseyside Derby at the weekend.
