As us fans can attest many times over, Liverpool never do things the easy way. It seems the joy and ecstasy of winning a trophy will only be permitted once the full experience and drama of agony and despair has been felt. It certainly is a rollercoaster of emotions supporting the men in red. We should be used to it by now, but we’re not.

Take this poor little fella celebrating in the crowd at Wembley for instance in the aftermath of our League Cup victory on penalties. His ‘handy-work’ captures perfectly in just a few brief seconds, what every Liverpool fan had been through during the duration of the entire final – The joy! The pain! The joy!
