Stargazers and astronomers alike, may still be searching the heavens for the ball which Charlie Adam dispatched into orbit at Wembley on Sunday, but Charlie can rest easy (just) in knowing that his spot-kick won’t win the ‘worst penalty ever’ award (despite the number of semi-humorous Youtube efforts currently doing the rounds).
That dubious title must surly go to Al Ahly’s Amir Sayoud of Egypt for his awful effort, in trying to attempt an Aldridge-type shuffle. It was a penalty so poor, even the commentator had to laugh.
If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, the midfielder was also booked for an illegal spot-kick.

bad penalty, but was he shown the yellow card? the ref is bigger idiot than him!
I don’t care about “other” failures. This guy was always a pudding and he is simply proving what I said before we lost all reason and signed the duffer! He was/is/will always be third rate!
I think that’s being slightly harsh on Mr. Sayoud! 😉
