During Liverpool’s time at the top dominating both English and European football there have been many strikers renowned for their ability to tear defences apart with ease. These strikers are football legends – in both the world as well as legends for Liverpool. In my opinion the following 5 players were the greatest to represent the club – all are famous names for Liverpool and they all did the best they could during every occasion.
They will be remembered for the years to come for their famous performances for the Reds.
I don’t really believe in ranking these players so I’ll let you decide your top 5! Other honorary mentions go to Roger Hunt, Billy Liddell, Michael Owen, John Toshack and John Aldridge.

i cannot fathom how you can put torres in ahead of hunt our highest ever league goalscorer
I put Torres in Top 5 because I think he had the talent to overcome some of the legendary players on the goal chart in the form he was in. But, I have also watched Torres a lot more than Hunt, which I only watched a few highlights and read about him. That could be what could have infulenced me. However, I am by no means saying Roger Hunt didn’t deserve to be in top 5 as that isn’t true because he isn’t a legend for nothing he has helped the club accomplish so much and is one of the club highest goalscorer. In the end, I am just saying I put the top 5 strikers in my opinion and it may differ from yours as we think differently.
