ACCORDING to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Liverpool scouts present at the Intercontinental derby between and Fenerbahce have been left impressed with , Burak and Semih Kaya.

Reds scouts were in Turkey to cast their eye over Yilmaz, however after watching the drama unfold, have added Inan and Kaya to their shortlist of potential targets.

Yilmaz, who has been linked with the Anfield club since the summer, is this season’s top goal-scorer with 6 goals in 5 appearances. His 6 strikes have come in just 501 minutes of football, meaning the Turkish striker has averaged a goal every 83 minutes. Yilmaz has also hit the back of the net on 9 occasions domestically, taking the 27 year olds tally to 15 so far.

Selcuk is an established Turkish international midfield player and also plies his trade at Galatasaray. In 2011/12 the 27 year old was the Turkish league’s assist king, providing no fewer than 16 goal assists for his team-mates. Selcuk also has a knack of scoring goals as he showed last season by notching 13 times in the league, a tally which made him Galatasaray’s top scorer. With 16 assists and 13 goals in 40 matches Selcuk could prove to be a very useful weapon in the Reds armoury.

Semih is the youngest and least well known of the three, however, after a fantastic breakthrough season last year, he’s regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Turkish football. The 21 year old central defender has won the Turkish league with Galatasaray, can boast Champions League experience and is a regular with the Turkish national team.

Liverpool have strengthened ties with Turkey recently, completing Turkish reality series ‘Soccer Prince’, as well as partnerships with Turkish Tourism, Misli.com and Ramsey. The Reds also have Turkish international and national hero Nuri Sahin on their books which could help pave the way for any potential Turkish targets as looks further afield to secure additions to his squad via less traditional, less expensive routes in January.
