Sneijder Awaiting Reds Bid?

ACCORDING to the Sunday People, are attempting to snatch Dutch international midfielder , from under the noses of Turkish giants, .

The newspaper reports that Galatasaray have had a bid of £8.2m accepted by Sneijder’s current club, , but claim that has launched an audacious last minute bid to bring the Dutchman to Anfield.

Sneijder is believed to be stalling on agreeing personal terms with Galatasaray in the hope that a Premier League club will come calling, with the former Real Madrid man known to be keen on a move to England.

The report goes on to say that Ian Ayre has been in conversation with, Boston based bosses, over the course of the last 24 hours in an effort to see what kind of offer can be made. Sneijder’s wage at Inter is a reported £160k a week, and one of the main reasons for his departure from the Milanese club is his apparent refusal to take a wage cut. However with a relatively low transfer fee and after the release of Nuri Sahin, Brendan Rodgers is believed to be confident that a deal can potentially be struck.

At 28 Sneijder is still in his prime and the central midfielder would bring a wealth of experience to what is a relatively young Liverpool side. A player of Sneijder’s calibre and reputation, if signed, would be an important statement from Brendan Rodgers and FSG about where this Liverpool team is headed and would be overwhelmingly supported by fans.

No more chances for Rodgers . Picking Allen today was one of the stupidest decisions ive ever seen

Allen is like a little boy lost every week , and Rodgers keeps him . Totally inept and useless management . Liverpool deserve better than this guy

It really is time for Liverpool fans to stand up and show FSG we dont want this fool as manager . ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Brenda should consider playing Coates as the holding midfielder, forget Allen & Lucas, they’re too feeble and weak. Brenda however doesn’t make too many inspired decisions.

Second half we played some good footy but it was a bad day at the office for BR.. Terrible selections and tactics / motivation from the outset… I fear that BR has not done any better then our last 2 managers and his signings / transfer windows to date have been uninspiring to say the least… It seems it’s either players he has worked with (or can get into the ear of due to having worked at the club before…e.g Sturridge at Chelski) or long shots from mid table euro sides. No wins against a top 10 side is an unacceptable position for LFC to be in.. Here’s hoping that Sturridge has something to prove and he and Luis can bring some respectability to our season.. Finishing below the blue shite again would be a compete disaster. YNWA
