Liverpool host Norwich at home as they look to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford. Having beaten the Canaries 5-2 at Carrow Road back in September, the Reds will be confident of victory.

Luis Suarez has scored a hat-trick in each of Liverpool’s last two meetings with Norwich and if he manages to put three goals past them again on Saturday, he will become the first Reds player in history to score three league hat-tricks against the same club.

The Uruguayan has scored five goals in his last four games and his next goal will be his 20th of the season.

New signing Daniel Sturridge will hope to start upfront alongside Suarez at Anfield, having scored two goals in two games since his move from Chelsea.

Fabio Borini is also fit again after spending three months out with a foot injury, giving Liverpool the luxury of having three senior strikers available for the first time since Andy Carroll was loaned to West Ham. Borini came off the bench against Manchester United and having only made five league appearances for the Reds since his summer move from Roma, the Italian has expressed his desire to make up for lost time.

At the back, Andre Wisdom will hope to keep his place in the side, as Jose Enrique is still out injured.

Norwich ended a run of four straight league defeats last weekend, drawing 0-0 at home to Newcastle. Chris Hughton’s side are currently 12th in the table with 26 points, five fewer than Liverpool.

Grant Holt may feature for Norwich after returning from a hamstring injury against Newcastle, coming on as a 67th minute substitute. Holt scored at Anfield last season when the Canaries held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw. Steve Morison may miss the game however having been out for a couple of weeks with a thigh strain.

The Reds have a good record against Norwich and they are unbeaten in the last seven meetings between the two sides, winning all but one. Another three points on Saturday could see Liverpool move above West Brom into seventh place in the table.
