‘They’re’ Out to Get Us…

LFC's Sterling and Suarez shockedJUST because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not after me.

Now some may imagine the writer of this article donning a kitchen foil hat, in a room with many PCs and servers, living a life style ‘off the grid’, incredibly jittery and highly charged.

Rest assured I don’t buy into conspiracy theories, but honestly, I do wonder. I don’t have a persecution complex but far too often I do feel hard done by as a LFC supporter.

When I heard of Champions League match fixing involving a British football club having taken place over the last 3-4 years, I was concerned. I immediately wanted to check – when was the last time we were in Champions League?

2009-2010 was the last time we were in the Champions League…within the time frame, oh dear. Confirmation. It did involve one of our games. Why did it have to involve LFC?

Sure it was Debrecen who are accused of some potential wrong doing but why is it always LFC. Why is LFC’s name released and tarnished?

How did Rafa manage to have every idiot with access to a newspaper column out for his head? He was brilliant for LFC, history speaks for itself (we’ve just lost to Oldham and Zenit St Petersburg and I really am missing Rafa, who doesn’t’?)

Rafa nearly won the league. Does Wenger get the grief Rafa got? No. The fans give Wenger more grief than the media yet LFC fans were firmly behind Rafa when the media helped the owners extract him from LFC. Wenger has underperformed for longer. Some will say Wenger won the league so is above such criticism, but I say Rafa had two Champions League finals and one win, not to mention the rest, all with fewer resources, crazy owners and instability.

How did LFC manage to get Roy Hodgson? The same idiots why wanted to drink Rafa’s blood used their media powers to sing the praises of Hodgson to the Reds’ ‘hierarchy’. History speaks for itself. Why did the powers-that-be listen?

Liverpool is separate to the rest of the UK in some way. Liverpool FC get treated like an enemy too often. Maybe the success left too many haters, but how come Man Utd don’t have the same haters now?

Clubs talk of stadiums, and then they build stadiums. Liverpool’s ‘hierarchy’ talk of stadiums, talk of stadiums, talk of stadiums and talk of stadiums!!! Why always LFC?!

The new Wembley stadium idea was conceived, built, and now it’s just Wembley – but still no ‘New Anfield’ is under construction.

When a Premiership match official, not a mate referring a 6-a-side kick about, allows a goal to stand when the football hits a beach ball and was diverted away from the keeper, into the empty net, why was it a Liverpool FC match? Why was it a goal against LFC? In my opinion it would never have happened to Manchester United.

Respectfully, I’m not going to dwell on this next point as the magnitude of the issue of injustice suffered in the aftermath of Hillsborough is far too great for this small, light-hearted article. The justice for those who suffered in Hillsborough is taking far too long. Again LFC and injustice, in this case the most heinous, outrageous and serious of injustices.

When owners of a club want to send their club into administration rather than just not make any money and sell, why does it have to be LFC? We needed the high court to save us!

Suarez says something in Spanish which is deemed to have no racist connotation in his homeland, but he gets a fine and an 8 game ban. John Terry says ‘black bastard’ which is not acceptable in his country – this country – and he eventually gets a four game ban! LFC picked on? Are we just an easy target? Or am I actually wearing a kitchen foil hat?

And don’t even get me started on penalty decisions…

I’ll end on this perfect quote: ‘Total paranoia is just total awareness’ – Charles Milles Manson

An armchair fan who loves the stadium experience but likes the bread and butter of replays, moronic pundits, a drink in a pub atmosphere. LFC is my religion.

Common sense is missing from football but the situation is always complicated so I endeavour to give opinion and encourage discussion and thought about LFC.

paranoia breeds paranoia . If people stopped actually writing about these conspiracy theories – there wouldn’t be any paranoia

    • Seriously? The answer is don’t ask, don’t think, talk, wonder or write? No my friend, you write something. Tell us it’s just dumb luck, coincidence or anything but don’t tell us not to think, write, ask, question, talk or wonder as people died for those rights. Cheers V
