THE absence of both Raheem Sterling and Suso from the pitch or the bench against Southampton was possibly a sign that Liverpool are looking to shift the youngsters out on loan in order to hone their skills.
However, it has transpired that whilst the club are keen to keep Sterling at Anfield, they may opt to send Suso out on a short-term loan.
The Spaniard has not featured at all for the Liverpool first team this year (2013), and Brendan Rodgers, who will not want his qualities to drop due to lack of football, may send the midfielder away until the end of the season.
Sterling on the other hand has played 23 league games this season (he featured primarily in the first half of the season) and has been rested by Brendan Rodgers, who feared that the Jamaican may suffer from burnout as his body is still developing as well as bearing the brunt of vigorous league matches.
Liverpool are said to have rejected loan offers for Sterling from Bolton, Cardiff and Leeds.
Rodgers will be hoping that, if he decides to ship Suso out, the youngster will be able to perfect his footballing skills and then be able to break his way into the first team, ready for next season, be it with cameo appearances initially.

Think you’ll find Suso was on the bench v Southampton.
Yes but he hasn’t played in months
yeah just realised what I said was a bit troll-like… my bad!
Hasn’t he said both are staying?
both have been playing for the reserves which is playing the same formations and tactics as the first team. Also Shelvey and Wisdom.
Sending Suso or Sterling out on loan wouldn’t be too bad esp. if the club feels that they need experience via playing time. It’ll be beneficial to both club and player provided these young talents are not over exploited or permanently injured in the process.
