ACCORDING to the Liverpool Echo, LFC forward Daniel Sturridge insists that his main priority is not to prove his critics wrong, but to fulfil his potential at the club and do the best he can.
The 23 year old was signed from Chelsea in January and since then has scored 5 goals in 9 appearances as well as claiming his first goal for England against San Marino, and he was keen to thank Brendan Rodgers for bringing him to Anfield and giving him the opportunity.
Sturridge has already won Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League medals but he is now relishing the opportunity to play regular football and insists that he still has a lot left to achieve in his career, and believes that Liverpool is the best place to do just that. Sturridge said:
“I’m very grateful – very grateful to the manager for giving me an opportunity, I was at Man City before Chelsea and everything was fine there, in fairness. I didn’t have any problems, everything worked out, but I chose to leave because I didn’t feel it was the best place for me to further my career.
“Hopefully here, now I’m at a club that believes in me with a manager who believes in me, I can give the fans something to smile about. I thank the manager for giving me the opportunity to get where I am today.”

I got your back mon. YNWA DS15!!
Will anyone look at Emre Colak? He seems really good for Gala and same age as Shelvy. In my opinion he offers more than Shelvey. Good strength, eye for goal and pass, and not afraid to put in a tackle. And good for u Sturridge….Hope u go far!!! YNWA
