LFC targetLIVERPOOL target Tom Ince could be joining Cardiff City this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Welsh club have agreed to meet Blackpool’s £8million asking price for the English winger.

The Bluebirds, who were promoted to the Premier League this summer as champions of the Championship, are prepared to pay the figure Blackpool quoted to Crystal Palace for Ince, who have also been linked with the England Under-21 star.

Liverpool are confident they can re-sign the winger though, as they have an option to match any bid for him under the terms of his move to Blackpool from Anfield two years ago.

The Reds also have a 35 per cent sell-on clause which means they could sign the 21-year-old for an initial figure of just over £5m, or receive over £2million from any team that buy Ince.

The Blackpool star had a fantastic season in the Championship, scoring 18 goals for the Seasiders, 12 more than Wilfred Zaha, who has joined Manchester United for £15million. Ince looks set to cost a Premier League side just half of that amount.

Ince was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, and crowned the Football League Young Player of the Year this season. The son of Paul Ince will be looking to continue his strong form into the next season, whoever he is playing for.
