Liverpool MadridLUIS Suarez has yet again expressed his desire to move to Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports.

Liverpool’s star man has made no secret of his desire to leave the Premiership, citing press harassment and treatment from referees during his stint in England with Liverpool.

The 26 year old has repeatedly insisted that Real Madrid would be his preferred destination, and he has dropped yet another hint that that he is keen on a move to the Bernabeu, when he admitted that he would give absolutely everything he had for the club.

Suarez, talking to El Pais, said: “I will give my soul every time I step on the pitch, I have done this with Uruguay, Ajax and Liverpool. I do not hold anything when I finish a game.

“A player always aspires to be at the top of their profession and Madrid is at the top for any football player.”

Suarez has also revealed that he is ‘disturbed’ by Liverpool’s failure to qualify for Europe, their seventh place finish not even earning them a Europa League place, but he conceded that it is a special feeling to play for Liverpool.

“It disturbs me that Liverpool are not in the Champions League every season, I’ve suffered at Liverpool, but when I think of what it represents to play for this club, and the love my daughter has – she sings the hymn – the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I play at Anfield.”

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.

No good players want sub standard BR as manager. Suarez can’t see there is future with BR’s LFC.

  • juan says:

He cannot see a future in BR but some including our always best player who gives evrythng for lfc( steven gerrad) sees there is successing under BR.
Have u ever asked urself why suarez always use the media to express his desire to leave lfc but till now he HAS NOT HANDLED OFFICIAL TRANSFER REQUEST TO LFC, Because even in his heart he knows Lfc and lfc fans cared for him, loved him, fought for him in any curcmstance, ignoring the truth just for him. We even tried to understand him in any condition and most of us we supported according to our ability and the places we are,
BUT come on, is this the he repays us..HE FEELS GUILTY FOR WHAT HE WANT TO DO TO US THATS WHY TILL NOW HE HASNT HANDLED A OFFICIAL TRANSFER REQUEST TO LFC.

Gerrard should follow Torres footstep if he wanted to win something few years ago. But now the aging Gerrard has no choice but to fulfill his lucrative contract.

”Gerrard should follow Torres footstep if he wanted to win something ”, you mean winning 2 FA cups, 2 carling cups, UEFA cup, SUPERCUP and oh yes the champions league…. was nothing??? you make me sad son

        • red says:

more sad days ahead. Get ready for the lowest of LFC in coming session before BR is being axed by FSG.

Who can blame Suarez ? I don’t think anyone can begrudge a top player wanting to leave LFC these days. Since the appointment of Rodgers, a man who has never won any trophies, the club sent out a statement of lack of ambition. If a world class talent like Suarez wants to win trophies he’ll have to do it elsewhere. He signed for the club at the time it had a legendary multi trophy winning manager but now the goalposts have moved so significantly. The club has no choice but to let him go and lets hope the £40 million we should get for him can be invested by Rodgers in some more world class players. Is he up for the job?

  • Liverpool lad says:

Now this is the crux of the situation , not press intrusion rubbish. He wants champion league and he doesn’t feel it’s possible with Liverpool right now.
You know what ? He is probably right , so who can blame the lad for wanting to better himself ?

  • Brigadier says:

BR is directly at fault, completely inept manager.

    • Phil says:

I agree . If Suarez could see hope of success this season he would stay , but with Rodgers as boss , there is no hope

  • stevieG says:

Can’t blame Luis . He has been brilliant for us and should be playing for top team

  • Wayne lynch says:

I cant see any really top class players joining us as long as Rodgers is manager , hopefully this nightmare will end soon
